Comments on: How the situation looks to me, provisionally, moment by moment, concentrating on the West Bank (recalling Mark Twain’s title of a similar effort written in 1869, Innocents Abroad)

dear louise,

thanks for your comments on my analysis entry to my blog. i've examined it carefully, repaired about 15 typos, made some other changes, confess to not seeing precisely where my word use was incorrect (yes, i tend to take some liberties with neologisms, but you know, in chicago...), and hope it is improved. i won't ask you to look again, knowing how busy you are ...

I'm impressed that you are pulling so many threads together here. Always hard for me to think through whether there is coherence and whether i agree, but I do follow and will think these things through. I would have appreciated reference to what is now newsworthy in the recent US media--the Israeli armed attack on Gaza this past week, which seemed to be more lethal than usual, and lf course more on what palestinians think about Annapolis (but i guess you're saying they don't think much ab out that). I appreciate your trying to get at the larger issues.

With something of this quality, I think you might take a little more time to proofread (and check the validity of a few of the more exotic words you've used), but that's the English teacher speaking! It is very intelligible!

Thanks for helping us undo this shameful silence.
