In fact, it is another unseasonably gloomy October morning; but we remember the usual golden blessings of this time.Judging from this piece, Skip, you are feeling an inner gloom, too, from the split in a relationship which is too like a slit in your skin.

Your letter to &quot;M&quot; is a masterfully poetic attempt at reconciliation which, I hope, will succeed.  More power to you with lens, pen, and speech as you so skillfully and conscientiously try to show us to each other and to ourselves.
